Turtle Wax

High-impact Takeovers

Per the client’s ad buy, I was tasked with creating high-impact units, complimentary standard banners and matching background site skins. Due to technical spec limitations, I pulled video elements from the tv spot into the high-impact unit and designed the remainder to match the spot’s emotional storyline to create cross-channel brand parity. I concepted, storyboarded and designed the units and skins as well as directed my digital production artists on final animations and execution. The takeover units trafficked over 18K users per month to our ICE products microsite.

Responsibilities:

• Art Direction
• Design

Dedicated Microsite

Turtle Wax wanted a separate marketing campaign and dedicated microsite to celebrate their new packaging and differentiate the ICE product line from their existing products. Due to development constraints, we created an adaptive microsite to fit Turtle Wax’s user needs. I collaborated with my digital strategist on the mobile and desktop UX, designed the UI and directed in-house developers to execute. To reinforce the brand pattern I included design elements from the print and digital campaigns and chose to highlight each product via the color delineation on the product’s new label.

Responsibilities:

• Art Direction
• UX Design
• UI Design

Site Takeovers

With Turtle Wax’s newest product, Rinse Free, they needed another product focused marketing campaign and dedicated landing page. For brand parity, I again chose to utilize fonts, elements, colors and animations from the tv spot within the background skins and matching display units. I directed my Jr. AD with regards to ad unit and skin designs and directed my production developers on execution and animation.

Responsibilities:

• Art Direction
• Design

Dedicated Landing Page

For the Rinse Free responsive, dedicated landing page, my digital strategist and I wanted to create a one-touch, educational yet visually entertaining experience. Together we created the UX and I designed the UI. To maintain the established brand pattern, I utilized fonts, colors and elements consistent with the tv spot and digital units then added textural backgrounds and icons to provide more visual depth to the page. I directed the in-house developers with regards to responsive concerns and transition animations.

Responsibilities:

• Art Direction
• UX Design
